Brian Michael Anschutz

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson for Brian Michael Anschutz with words of comfort by Rev. Dennis Shepherd of the Boxholm United Methodist Church.   Brian died April 12, 2007 as a result of an auto accident in Boone County.
Interment was held at a later date at the Rippey Cemetery.
    Brian Michael Anschutz, son of Gary Dean Anschutz and Joyce Elaine Parker, was born June 29, 1968 in Perry, Iowa and died April 12, 2007 in Boone County, Iowa at the age of 38 years, 9 months and 13 days.
    Brian's family lived in Rippey and in October of 1968 moved with his family to Jefferson.  He graduated with the class of 1987.  During school he worked for McAtee Tire and later worked for Pinkerton's as a Security Guard for WCI.  Brian entered the U.S. Marines, later receiving a medical discharge.  he worked for Sunnyfresh Egg Plant in Panora, IBP in Perry, Adel Brick and Tile, Bauer Bilt Tire in Perry and R & W Tire in Boone.  He presently was living in Boxholm and working for Roto Rooter out of Ames.
    Brian married Jacquelyn Shane Thomas and they were blessed with two daughters, Kristeina and Zoey.  Brian's main love was his family.  He doted on his two daughters.  Brian also enjoyed collecting gnomes and beer steins, tools, demolition derbies, as well as camping, fishing and going to the drive-in movies in Newton with his family. 
    Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Edith Anschutz and Charles and Marie Parker; his infant brother Terry; cousins Mary Glenn and Mark Judge.
    He is survived by his wife Jacqueline and two daughters; Kristeina and Zoey all of Boxholm; his parents; Gary and Joyce Anschutz of Jefferson; two sisters; Christine Anschutz of Fort Dodge; Sherry DeMello and husband Tony of Jefferson; two brothers Wayne Anschutz and wife Ellen, currently stationed in Germany; Bradley Anschutz and wife Shannon of Scranton; his parents-in-law; Melvin and Joyce O'Tool of Boone; sisters-in-law Jo Macal and husband Allen of Ogden; Michelle Nelson and husband Jeremy of Boxholm; brothers-in-law; Shawn O'Tool and wife Raylene of Boone; Brian O'Tool and wife Devon; and Joe O'Tool of Woodbine.   Brian is also survived by his aunts: Shirley Glenn and husband Kenny of Perry, Arlene Hendricks and husband Joe of Perry, Charlene Judge and husband Tom of Ankeny; great uncle Bob Heater of Rippey, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
