Health is a condition of psychological, physical and social well being in which infirmity and illness are absent. Well-Being is an important determinant of one’s personality, but many people focus only on the subjective aspects of the concept, neglecting the objective aspects. It is this subjective/ Objective perspective that determines the parameters on which a health program should be based, especially in combating obesity. In the field of prevention, many efforts are underway to improve the lifestyle of obese people. With some changes in food habits and other behavioral modification, it is possible for obese people to lose weight.

Prevention is better than cure. Thus, the best way to combat obesity and other associated diseases is to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The focus of this article is on the aspects of psychological health and how these can affect physical health. The concept of well-being may lead one to assume that there is just one type of mental health, but this is far from the truth. A number of different types of mental health exist.

Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia are all examples of mental illnesses with overlapping clinical symptoms. They each exhibit unique characteristics, such as impulsivity, paranoia and mania, which are independent of their underlying physical conditions. Psychotic episodes, on the other hand, are common symptoms of certain mental illnesses. A good health regimen for these diseases may also include anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications.

The third definition of healthy living is the absence of any disease or physical illness. This third definition excludes conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, HIV, and other potentially life-threatening diseases. It may seem obvious that healthy diets, adequate exercise and good sleep are the first steps towards a healthy lifestyle. However, the lack of a healthy environment can contribute to the onset and progression of several disease conditions.

A healthy lifestyle consists of a balanced diet and a regular physical activity program. Healthy diets usually consist of whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean protein. Adequate physical activity, which may be done in a variety of ways including gardening, walking or gardening, is another important part of a healthy lifestyle. Regular moderate exercise is particularly important for those who are sedentary or older, and for people with chronic diseases that may include heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke.

One thing that many social scientists have discovered in recent years is that our health can be influenced by a number of independent factors, including our socioeconomic status, culture and the experiences we’ve had in the past. Socioeconomic status is defined as the level of economic privilege attained. The higher the socioeconomic status of an individual, the more likely they are to experience good health. For example, a wealthy person may have access to the best medical care and the most modern environmental conditions, while a poor person may be stuck with unsanitary conditions and limited access to quality health care. Socioeconomic status can also be influenced by cultural factors such as religion and education.
